Who are You Really?

You were born into this world and given a name. You have parents and grew up within a family and lived in circumstances not of your choosing. Depending on your surroundings, you developed your identity and grew to self realization.  But who are you really? Why am I here? What is the purpose of my life?

Eventually through the day to day living, reflecting on your self identity changes into a self made individual. This must be developed and protected at all cost. After all, that’s  all there is right? There is nothing beyond this life.

That’s what this world tells you. But, if things get out of control and your world comes apart, what is the lifeline that provides security and hope?

By looking and reflecting on life there comes the realization that your plan isn’t working so well.  Something is missing because things went wrong and I did wrong. Who am I? What am I doing?

Your answer: start over. This time by being born again. Choose to be forgiven by Jesus and become a child of the light. Then you will realize there is a whole new identity beyond this world.

“But to all who did receive him [Jesus], who believed in his name [Jesus], he gave the right  to become children of God,  who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

Your true identity?  You are supposed to be a child of God who has a specific plan for you. Walk it and find a whole new life.
