Unexpected Song

My husband and I were walking toward the beach one afternoon. It was a sunny day and you could smell the salt in the air. The sand sucked up our feet with each step that we took, and the sand was hot. That made us move quickly toward the cool water. It was a relief when we got there and to our surprise we were greeted with a song being sung by a man playing his guitar.  He was just sitting on a stone and we rejoiced over the unexpected tune.  

What a delight the gift of singing is!  Here we were touched by this event and it just made the day even more special. 

 I brought up this memory because I treasure it and I wanted to share with you how much the Lord treasures us.  He wants to be among us and wants the relationship that happens when we believe in Him.  Can you just imagine the joy He has when a lost individual chooses to love Him as Father?! As a result, like any father, he provides peace through His love and guess what, He even lifts you up with singing.

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zeph. 3:17
