Christ: The Perfect Gift

In the Bible there is a story about a blind man who was born that way. This story is a very good example of the grace of God. Jesus healed the man by giving him his sight. He was given the gift of seeing his surroundings for the first time.  He did not do anything to receive it and he did not refuse it. The event turned into a huge witness to the people around him because it was seen as a miracle.

But, there were those that did not believe that the gift of sight was given and as a result they did not receive the perfect gift. Instead the man that was blind was cast out of the temple.  God could not be taken away from the man for Jesus returned and gave him another gift, and that was spiritual sight that no one can take away. He saw  Jesus’  love for him and believed in Him as the Savior.  Therefore do not refuse the free gift of Jesus  which is grace the gift of God.

“Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man? He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him? Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.”John 9:35-37
